Accessibility Statement

Last updated May 28, 2026

This Accessibility Statement applies to the Asphalt Paving Mastery website located at http://asphaltpavingmastery.com and the subscription training Services operated by Asphalt Paving Mastery LLC.

OUR COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY

Asphalt Paving Mastery LLC is committed to ensuring that our online training platform and educational services are accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that every worker in the asphalt paving industry should have access to quality professional training, regardless of disability or assistive technology needs.

We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which is the current internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. This Accessibility Statement is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service, available at http://asphaltpavingmastery.com/terms-of-service.

ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES

Our Services include or are working to include the following accessibility features:

  • Captions and transcripts: Closed captions for video lessons are being progressively implemented across our course library, with new content launched with captions by default;
  • Keyboard navigation: Core platform functionality is operable through keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse;
  • Screen reader compatibility: Our platform structure follows semantic HTML practices to support screen reader users;
  • Text scaling: Users can adjust text size through standard browser controls without breaking the platform layout;
  • Color contrast: We aim to meet WCAG color contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text);
  • Alternative text for images: Technical diagrams, illustrations, and informational images include descriptive alternative text where feasible;
  • Clear navigation: Consistent navigation structure throughout the platform with descriptive page titles and headings;
  • Form accessibility: Form fields include proper labels, instructions, and error messages for assistive technology users.

Our subscription platform is provided by Uscreen, and our website is hosted by Squarespace. Both providers maintain their own accessibility commitments and continue to improve platform-level accessibility features. Some accessibility features depend on the capabilities of these underlying platforms, and we work within those capabilities to maximize accessibility across our Services.

CONFORMANCE STATUS

Status: Partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA

Asphalt Paving Mastery is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of our Services do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to improve accessibility as part of our ongoing platform development.

As a newly launched service, we have not yet completed a comprehensive third-party accessibility audit. We plan to conduct formal accessibility evaluations as our platform matures and our business scales. Our most recent informal accessibility review was conducted in May 2026 during initial platform development.

KNOWN ACCESSIBILITY LIMITATIONS

We acknowledge the following known accessibility limitations that we are working to address as part of our ongoing accessibility improvement efforts:

  • Video captions: Some course videos may not yet have closed captions in all available variants. We are progressively adding captions to all video content. Captions are included by default for newly produced content;
  • Technical diagrams: Complex technical diagrams illustrating paving operations, equipment, and processes may have limited alternative text descriptions. We are improving alternative text for these visual elements over time;
  • Platform-dependent features: Some accessibility characteristics depend on our subscription platform provider (Uscreen) and our website host (Squarespace). Where platform-level limitations exist, we work within the capabilities provided by these third parties and advocate for improvements;
  • PDF documents: Downloadable PDF reference materials may not be fully accessible to screen readers in all cases. We are working to provide accessible alternatives where requested;
  • Mobile accessibility: While our platform is mobile-responsive, certain interactive elements may have limited accessibility on smaller screens.

We are actively working to address these issues as part of an ongoing plan to improve accessibility. Subscribers and personnel who encounter accessibility barriers in our content may request alternative formats or accommodations using the contact information below.
